In Brooklyn, Kali is a creative barista juggling the weight of providing for a needy boyfriend and a boss who ignores her fresh coffee drink ideas. When Kali’s long-time coworker suggests she enter a coffee competition, Kali shrugs it off until the artistic Mel becomes her co-worker. Working closely together in the café, Kali and Mel find their passions re-awakened. Their attraction sparks an unexpected romance, stirring up disruptions in their homes, and testing their understanding of love and relationships. Mounting pressures push them to the margins of the borough, where they give in to their true desires to be together.
